This species of rhinos are the central attraction of Pobitora National Park. It is located around 46 km away from the Guwahati city in the heart of the black magic capital of India, Morigaon village. Out of the 38.8 sq Pobitora area, the one-horned rhinos are concentrated in the 16 sq km of the core areas. Therefore, while on safari into the remote areas of the forest, there is a guaranteed chance of spotting the rhinos, flaunting their prized horn. Pobitora National Park remains open from mid-October to mid-May. You can plan your visit anytime during these months. However, in order to have a comfortable trip, avoiding the heat, November to April is the Best time to visit Pobitora.
